Eye Care for the Adirondacks is committed to providing the highest quality contact lens service to our patients. Excellent eye health depends on a properly fitting contact lens. We take pride in providing the extra care necessary to insure the accurate measurement of your eyes, fit and prescription of the contact lenses, and instruction on correct care and use of your lenses. Routine follow-up care is performed to provide adjustments as indicated.





Eye Care for the Adirondacks

Contact lens services begin only after a comprehensive eye eximation by one of our doctors. The contact lens fitting fee is generally not covered by medical or vision insurance. The doctor, based on your individual needs during the intial examination, will determine the actual contact lens type selected. The final contact lens prescription is determined after a follow-up evaluation.

Our contact lens program includes:
* A comprehensive initial examination and lens fitting
* Complete instructions in lens handling and care
* High quality contact lenses appropriate for your needs
* A solution starter kit
* Follow-up care

If you choose contact lenses, your responsibilties include:
* Properly caring for the lenses as instructed
* Using the specific solution recommeded
* Following the prescribed wearing schedule
* Maintaining follow-up examinations at the recommeded intervals
* Notifying your doctor, and removing your lenses if you have redness, pain or change in vision
* Having an annual eye health and contact lens evaluation

Deposit Required
You must make 50% deposit when you order contact lenses. Your lenses cannot be ordered without this deposit. The balance will be due when your lenses are delivered to you. Contact lenses ordered through us must be picked us within 30 days. This insured timely exchange of certain contact lenses with limited warranties. For your convenience, we accept cash, check or credit card.

Cost of Replacement Lenses
Eye Care for the Adirondacks' patients may purchase lens replacements for any reason (lost, damaged or spare sets). A current (lenses evaluated within the past year) prescription is required.

Reporting and Replacing Lost, Broken, Damaged or Spare Lenses
If you need a replacement lens, please call our Optical Department. You will be notified when your lenses are ready. In some cases, lenses may be available on a same day basis. Next day delivery is available on most orders for a nominal charge. Please check to see that the Optical Department has your correct home and work telephone numbers when you order contact lenses.

* Please allow a little extra time when picking up the replacement lenses so that we can be certain that you are comfortable and visually healthy with your lenses.

Refund Policy
During the initial fitting period, if for any reason you or your doctor determine that you are unable to wear contact lenses, we will refund the purchase price of the contact lenses. You must return the undamaged lenses within 45 days from the date we first delivered the lenses. Professional fitting fees are not refundable.
