Chamber Names Kjell Dahlen Irishman of the Year!
A long-standing tradition of the North Country Chamber of Commerce is the St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast. In addition to a morning of laughs and entertainment, the highlight of the Breakfast is the announcement of The Irishman of the Year Award. It has become one of the most prestigious awards in our region and is bestowed upon one particular person who has made an impact in our community - and continues to do so. On behalf of the North Country Chamber of Commerce and the entire North Country region, we congratulate Kjell Dahlen - Irishman of the Year!
Originally from Norway, Dr. Dahlen is the perfect example of someone who moved to our area and made a true commitment to his new home. He has been here for more than 35 years and has donated his talents, energy and support to a number of organizations including the Interfaith Food Shelf, Mayor’s Cup Regatta, United Way, AM Rotary and more. Thank you - Dr. Dahlen - for all you do!
The 56th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast was a huge success. With nearly 500 guests, and plenty of laughs, it was a great way to start the week. Adirondack Bank was once again the proud sponsor of our early-morning festivities. Kevin Killeen continued his tradition of entertaining the crowd and John VanNatten kept the laughs going as Teller of Tales. Jim Conley, Father Roger McGuinness and The Cumberland Bay Barbershoppers were back again this year to help us celebrate. And new to the breakfast this year, Kelly Donohueand George Schnob wowed us with their musical talents. Thank you to all of our cast members for making it another great year!
Congratulations to our Saranac Lake Office
